Black Veil: AfterwardThe house was dark by the time Arabella reached it, the journey to the nearest town taking the greatest part of the day and most of the small woman’s effort. Darrell snorted and nosed his rider’s back as she slid carefully from his back to lead the great draft horse back to the stables and put him up for the night. While in his stall the last minutes of daylight faded into the starlit night sky, and so she lit a lantern to find her way back to the entrance of the small cottage.  
Exhausted, she sighed as she used the lantern to light the lamp near her couch, the glow cast as inviting as the cushion she slowly lowered herself on Black Veil: Afterward

Black Veil preview 14Tears would only dry momentarily as Arabella felt a hand on her cheek. Opening her eyes she swatched as Renu shakily lifted a hand to let his fingers graze against her cheek.  “My Bella,” He choked up a bit of blood before he could continue, instead just managing a smile for her until he could speak again. “I was having a nightmare.” Renu droned, unaware of the reality that his inner beast was causing so much damage. “It was like… a veil lay over my eyes. They were fightened at what they saw, but it was just me…”  Arabella tried to console him, asking him not to talk, but just to rest. She had Black Veil preview 14

Black Veil preview 13A full moon lit the way for Arabella as she began towards the eastern forest, and the sounds of the gunshots. Her feminine tones rang out just as they did though not quite as loud, the woman relentlessly calling for her other half. At every sound of a round fired, she would duck, her nerves making her tremble as she grew ever closer to the noise. Without her horse it would seem like an eternity that she walked through underbrush, until suddenly a crashing noise resounded around her and she stopped. Change?

Ever been in the mood for change? Not just the small kind like wanting to go to the beach spontaneously for a change of routine, but... I don't know. Like going through your house and purging everything except for what you need.
Burning the bridges you didn't have the backbone to burn before, building new ones, with new relationships.
Just generally waking up to decide that today is a new day and a new world, ready-made for second chances.
Then you go for the small changes, changing the place you eat out at when you have the money. Taking a new way home. Meeting new people.

I think that mood has struck around here, and its time for a general attitude change.

After all, everything is changing anyway. There's not a lot of money--for most everyone. I'm not sure if I'll have the funds to go to school this coming semester, and yet I'm still paying for groceries, medcations, and gas on my minimum wage seasonal job. We have to adjust to that, saving everywhere we can, and hunting for new jobs or ways to earn what we need. So why not spread the adjustment everywhere else?

I'm not really sure where this rant is going, so feel free to ignore it if you wish.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend, and that you all stayed safe. For those of you who went to the con, hope that was fun for you. It seems you all left a very vivid impression on the Mets. Hahah. Go team. :P

Yeah. Its a little mean, and I'm sorry. But it is a little funny, just a little. That we, of all people, are frightening to a bunch of macho baseball players. ^^;

On a side note. I'm thinking of creating a new account for just, personal reasons. Any suggestions on names for it? LadyFennec has been suggested already.

Alright, I'm done rambling. I'm off work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for anyone who wants to call, chat, or come hang out.
